this color is perfect.

awh, fall. i just love it all. the colors, the smells, the style, pumpkin everything... i am ready not to be sweating while putting on my make up after a shower. i am ready for scarves and over sized sweaters. oh and tights :) i am ready for orange and red leaves against the grey sky. 

it's been fun summer, but i'm over you. maybe lets do this again next year.

and the wedding style of the summer is...

hands down, this summer I have done dozens of side swept styles. loose curls swept off the back of your neck over to the side, messy buns, you name it, it's all off to the side. it's all very romantic, but still classic, so it's a great style for everyone and it's easy for the bridesmaids to wear. This style can be done with long hair or short hair too, so it's somewhat uniform for the brides that like that, but unique to each girl at the same time. here's some of my favorites so far...

I have gotten the privilege of doing several weddings this summer and I honestly would do weddings every weekend if I could. to be such a big part of that sacred day is just such a gift. I had the most beautiful brides inside and out and made my job super simple and really fun! I'll post some more of the weddings later!

Now this trend can go horribly wrong if you take it too far or if the tone is off. It takes it quickly from trendy and easy going to trashy real quick. These girls usually have amazing hair, so it can happen to the best of us. This is a great reason to get ombre hair done professionally. For example...

i love the rose color, i love them with flats, and i love how Kim K wore em with studded boots. these are one of my favorite styles right now. it's such a great update for my skinny jean obsession.

BULA FIJI

Bula(Hello in Fijian) from Savusavu Island in Fiji!!!

Last Tuesday, we got to visit the town of the people that work at the resort we are staying at, Jean Michel Couseau Resort, and it was really an amazing little trip. We had a blast seeing their way of life, their houses, and a little bit of their culture. The people here are so unbelievably welcoming, sweet, loving, happy, and just super nice. I mean really nice! The tribe asks 4 of the men in our group to drink the Kava with them and of course Dad was one of them. Here are some of the pictures of the village and their welcoming festivities they do each week for the guests!

Amazing amazing experience!! And lots of other things to blog about from Fiji, today we did the rainforest hike to a waterfall and it was undoubtedly one of the coolest things we have ever done!

 In the words of Ron Burgendy, "Thanks for stopping by" or in Fijian that would be "Vinaka for stopping by." Classy I know.

belle meade plantation

while we were in tennessee visiting my "folks" we, in good ol tourist fashion, went to a plantation in nashville. belle meade was really beautiful and had amazing wine tasting (free i might add). wonderful day trip with two of the most amazing and fun people i know :)

we weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but the mansion was pretty stunning. more than anything though the property was so gorgeous! everything is just so green and the weather was perfectly overcast with a warm breeze!  just lovely.
